Angola: Gastronomy Closes Independence Day Programme in Zambia

Lusaka — An exhibition and tasting of Angolan food closed on Friday in Lusaka city the programme of the embassy of Angola in Zambia, under the celebrations of the 37th anniversary of the national independence day, marked on 11 November.

The activity started on 9 November with the presentation of the Angolan film entitled "O comboio da Canhoca".

In the presence of the Angolan ambassador, Balbina da Silva and officials of Zambian government, diplomatic body accredited in Zambia and other guests, the gastronomist Isabel Viera presented the food of Angola made and innovated by her.

The participants in the event were called for tasting the Angolan gastronomy and seized the opportunity to buy a cuisine book with recipes inspired in food of Angola.

The activity was enlivened by the dance group of "Ballet Nacional de Angola".
