Angola: Priest Marks 25th Ordination Anniversary

Huambo — The preacher Estaneslau Tchindekase of Verbo Divino congregation, celebrated on 25 November in the central Huambo province, 25 years of his ordination, in an Eucharistic mass held at Santa Cruz do Canhe mission.

The mass was witnessed by catholic faithful, with emphasis on the archbishop of Huambo, José de Queiroz Alves, the emeritus archbishop of Huambo and Lubango, Filomeno Vieira Dias and Mário Lukunde, respectively.

At the mass, the bishop of Cabinda Filomeno Vieira Dias stressed the celebration of the 25th ordination anniversary an important moment in which "we remind the day that the preacher was ordained.

Preacher Estanelau Marques Tchindekase thanked God for the gift of life and exercising priesthood for 25 years which especially made possible the holding of the ceremony.

The priest Estaneslau Marques Tchindekas was born in Huambo (Canhe ward) and joined the church service in 1971 at Kipeio seminary and was ordained in 1987 at Santa Cruz catholic mission of Canhe by the late bishop Eugénio Salessu.
