Somalia: Somali PM Promises to Restore Law and Order in the Country

Mogadishu — Abdi Farah Shirdon, Somali PM has promised on Monday to restore the rule of law into the strife-torn horn of Africa country.

Speaking at a meeting, with Somali president and members in the army and as well as local district authorities, Mr.Shirdon said his new fledgling government will work hard to get Somalia back into its glorious days.

"We are committed to do our best, working with security agencies and national army to stabilize the country," Somali prime minister said.

10-minister cabinet, Fauzia Yusuf Haji Adan, Somalia's first female foreign minister was announced, following the prime minister's appointment by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud last month.

Somalia has been a fractured country for over two decades without an effective central government.
