Kenya: Nema Raids Embu Noisy Churches

Nema officers accompanied by police on Saturday raided churches and popular entertainment joints playing noisy music in Embu town on Saturday, arresting two managers and a DJ and confiscated equipment.

A manager at a joint owned by former Kenya Airport Authority managing director Martin Nyagah Wambora was arrested during the raid.

The officers also impounded speakers and mixers at Wambora's Country View Down Town Hotel before locking up the manager at the Embu police station's cells.

The officers, who were under the command of the Embu county environment officer Josiah Nyandoro, arrested a manager and a DJ at the Nile Bar and Restaurant.
