Nigeria: Consumer Council Renews Fight Against Counterfeiting, Quackery

The Consumer Protection Council (CPC) has unveiled plans to introduce products and services monitoring and registration scheme known as ProServe aimed at eliminating counterfeiting and quackery in Nigeria.

Speaking at a media forum held at the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce , Industry, Mines and Agriculture( NACCIMA) head office, Lagos, the Director- General of CPC , Mrs Ifeyinwa Umenyi, pointed out that the programme would entail the creation of data bank for genuine products and services in the country.
