Nigeria: Constitution Review - Indigenes Call for Recognition of Original Inhabitants

Indigenes of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the auspices of Original Inhabitants Development Association of Abuja (OIDA) have called for the recognition of original inhabitants and indigenes of the FCT in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The President of the association, Pastor Danladi Jeji, who spoke to journalists in Abuja, said that if the term indigenes, original inhabitants and residents are recognised in the constitution, there will be great peace in the country among Nigerians and the issue of insurgencies will be a thing of the past.
