Zambia: Zimbabwe's Accident Saddens State

THE Government has expressed sadness at the death of four Zambians in a road traffic accident in Zimbabwe in the early hours of Sunday.

Chief Government spokesperson Kennedy Sakeni said Government was concerned with the frequent road fatalities.

"We wish the bereaved families God's strength and guidance during this sad and trying moment. We also wish the injured a quick recovery," Mr Sakeni said in a statement.

He thanked the Zimbabwean authorities for the assistance rendered to the accident victims in Bulawayo.

The passengers were on a bus travelling from South Africa to Zambia when the accident happened 103 kilometres from Bulawayo. The bus belonging to Mtsuni Bus Services overturned after the driver failed to negotiate a curve.
