Namibia: Katima to Host Netball Regionals

THE All Namibia Netball Association (ANNA) will host the Regional Championships in Katima Mulilo from December 7 to 10.

All 13 regions will participate in the event and over 200 players are expected be staying in Caprivi during that weekend, said public relations officer Lydia Mutenda.

Each should team will consist of 16 members, including a team manager, a coach, an umpire, 12 players and a regional executive representative.

The event will also be used as a platform to identify challenges faced by the regions and to help foster relations between the various executive committees.

“ANNA has extended this invitation to neighbouring countries Botswana and Zambia to share their experiences and skills with us,” Mutenda said.

“The All Namibia Netball Association plans to host this event annually to support and establish netball in the regions.”

The host for next year will be drawn before the start of the tournament.
