Angola: Seminar On Inclusion of Ageing Issues in Media Starts

Luanda — A seminar on Inclusion of Ageing Issues in the Media was opened last Monday, in Luanda, by the minister of Social Assistance and Reintegration, João Baptista Kussumua.

The meeting, which is to last two days, has the objective to share knowledge on the current situation of elderly people in Angola, in a multidimensional way, as well as pass information on the existing international and national tools used for the protection of elderly people.

The seminar, which is basically intended to upgrade journalists, is being organised by the Ministry of Social Assistance and Reintegration and is part of the celebrations of the National Elderly People's Day, to be marked on November 30.

The opening ceremony was attended by the minister of Family Issues and Promotion of Women, Filomena Delgado, the deputy governor of Luanda for political and social matters, Juvelina Imperial, as well as national directors.
