Coach Momodou Sonko has added icing to an already rapturous 20 years celebration guiding Pencha to the SK West league crown.
Pencha were celebrating at the close of the season as Serrekuda West nawettan's oldest club and it couldn't have been a better way to cap off of a season dogged sensation championship with the league coveted prize.
A winner failed to emerge in Pencha and West Coast first final meeting but the replay was of a scintillating duel than the two side's drab first encounter. West Coast were left desperately chasing shadows and a timely two second half goals -three minutes apart - delved their title aspirations a deafening blow.
Wallidan and Penhca midfielder Muhammed Fayinkeh revved up his play after a quiet outing in the first meeting with a brace in the second-half. A thunderous slam from outside the box for the opening goal in the 23rd minute muting noisy West Coast fans before the forward added the game's second three minutes later.
Pencha were eventual winners of the 2012 nawettan of the Serrekunda West and pocketed a colossal amount of D50,000 and a trophy while West Coast had a consolation sum of D30,000.
