Angola: Minister of Family Urges Angolans to Show More Love for Elderly People

Luanda — The minister of Family and Women Promotion, Filomena Delgado, on Monday here urged Angolan families to show more love for elderly people in order to allow them to live longer.

Filomena Delgado made the appeal during a seminar on "Inclusion of Aging Issues in the Media, Responsibility of Journalism", organized by the Ministry of Social Assistance and Reintegration.

According to the government official, many people and even families discriminate against elderly people walking on the streets even those living with them, an issue which worries the ministry.

The source said that it is important to care for the elderly so that they can really feel at home with their families.
