Asmara — Eritrean community members residing in Italy and France said that they would enhance participation in the Second National Investment Conference due to be held from 17 to 18 December. They made the statement at separate meetings during which they expressed readiness to back up the national development drive.

The Eritrean Ambassador to France, Mr. Fasil Gebreselasie, gave extensive briefings to the nationals as regards the objective situation in the Homeland and the region, and called on them to become beneficiaries of the investment prospects in the country.

In the same vein, Eritrean community members residing in Italy lauded the government for laying the groundwork that enables citizens to be prime beneficiaries of the nation's resources. Mr. Rusom Gebregiorgis, Head of Consular Affairs in that country, and Mr. Girmai Habtemichael, head of community affairs, gave briefings on the views put forth at the First National Investment Conference.
