Angola: Pedro Neto Formalises Candidacy At Election Commission

Luanda — The outgoing chairperson of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), Pedro Neto, Tuesday in Luanda formalised his list of candidates for next December 15 election.

The electoral commission, chaired by Domingos Torres, assisted by Antonio da Luz (secretary) and Antonio Mutondo (member) received a single list that will be confirmed on Wednesday as legible.

Recently, the Sports paper had announced the intention of Artur Almeida e Silva, the defeated candidate in early elections held in June 2011 by Pedro Neto, compete for this election for the four years period 2012/2016.

The campaign begins this Wednesday, November 28, and ends on December 12, three days before the election date.
