Tunisian Constitution Will Be Consensual Par Excellence - French Senate Speaker

Bardo — "The new Tunisian Constitution will be a consensual constitution par excellence, as Tunisia has adopted a participatory approach in its drafting," French Senate Speaker Jean-Pierre Bel said on Tuesday.

During his talk with National Constituent Assembly (NCA) Speaker Mustapha Ben Jaafar, Mr. Bel pointed out that "France is following with great interest the democratic transition experience Tunisia is carrying out by taking an "ambitious path."

The meeting was an occasion to discuss the developments of the situation in the Palestinian territories and Syria.

In this regard, Mr. Jean-Pierre Bel asserted France's support to granting Palestine the status of an observer State within the United Nations Organisation.
