Nigeria: Science Academy Bill Scales Second Reading

A bill for an Act to establish the Nigerian Academy of Science to promote science development and dissemination of scientific knowledge scaled second reading yesterday at the House of Representatives.

The bill sponsored by Rep. Albert Sam-Tsokwa (PDP, Taraba) was first read on September 19 and was seeking to establish a law for the academy in line with international standard and to make the academy chartered.
