Angola: Musician Needs Financial Supports to Record Debut CD

Lubango — The Angolan musician Isaac Ruben needs at least AKZ 2.0 million to record his first album entitled "Minha mãe".

Speaking to Angop in the city of Lubango, southern Huíla province, the artist said that the album will comprise 15 tracks, sung in the languages of Umbundu, Kimbundu and Portuguese.

He said that the message of the tracks is related to love, moral and civic education, as well as cultural aspects.

Isaac Ruben explained that due to financial difficulties it was not possible to release an album until the moment, but he is hopeful to raise funds and thus launch an album in the market by 2013.

With more than 30 years of career, the musician said that the CD is sung in the music tyles of samba, kilapanga, reggae, sungura and zouck.
