Tunisia: President Marzouki Confers With Prince Charles

London — Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki conferred on Monday in Clarence House with England's heir to the throne Prince Charles.

At the end of the meeting, Secretary of State to Foreign Affairs Hédi Ben Abbès told TAP news agency special correspondent that the Prince of Wales had shown deep knowledge of the Arab and Islamic World and that he was closely following up the process of the Tunisian Revolution."

Prince Charles expressed "Great Britain's readiness to provide Tunisia with all the necessary support in this stage", Ben Abbès added.

Moreover, the Prince of Wales outpointed that Tunisia's success in establishing a democratic regime which respects liberties and human rights will have a major impact on the whole Arab region. The meeting was attended by Ennahdha leader Rached Ghannouchi.
