Nigeria: FG Approves Transformer for NAF Base

Kaduna — The Federal Government has approved a 15MVA power transformer for the Nigerian Air Force Base, Kaduna and its environs in a bid to ensure constant power supply, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria, Mallam Idris Mohammed, has said.

He said this when he led his management team on a courtesy visit to the commander, 335 Base Services Group, Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Musbau S. Soladoye.

According to Idris, the Minister of State for Power approved the upgrade of power supply to the Nigerian Air Force Base with the provision of a brand new 15MVA power transformer.

He stated that after his tour of electricity facilities at the base a few months ago, he discovered that there was urgent need to upgrade the facilities to improve power supply in the community.
