Lagos — The Federal Government has reiterated its determination to solve the epileptic power supply in the country. Minister of State for Power, Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim Kuchi, who disclosed this said government hopes to fix the power problem by ensuring that all the recovered equipment are quickly taken to project sites.
She said this while receiving 306 containers of recovered National Integrated Power Projects (NIPP)-PHCN equipment and electrical materials from the Nigeria Customs Service at APM Apapa, Lagos.
The Minister was accompanied on the visit by the chairman of the presidential taskforce on power Engineer Beks Dagogo Jacks, the permanent secretary of the ministry, Dr. Dere Awosika, Major General Olaniyi and other dignitaries.
Making the presentation, Comptroller Dan Ugo, who represented the Customs-Comptroller General at the ceremony, said Customs will continue to collaborate with the federal government in ensuring the success of the transformation of the power sector.
