Imported secondhand clothes and shoes could still be banned thanks to a sessional paper by the Ministry of Industrialization. The paper, which has already been approved by cabinet, has also proposed a total ban on leather exports. PS Karanja Kibicho says this is the only way to grow the local textile and leather industries.
