AS Saint Etienne left back Faouzi Ghoulam decided to join Algeria's national team, Tout sur l'Algerie reported on Monday (November 26th). The FIFA qualification process is already under way, the Algerian federation said.
The 21-year-old former French "espoir" started eight times with the French L1 side.
Algeria coach Vahid Halilhodzic is expected to call Ghoulam for the Orange CAN competition in South Africa next January.
