Nigeria: NFF Sack Green Technical Committee

The board of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF arising from its emergency meeting yesterday in Abuja dissolved the Chris Green led technical committee of NFF.

Though no reason was given for the dissolution of the committee aside the fact that the tenure has elapsed, the committee was sacked for lack of competence in handling technical matters affecting national teams. Also dissolved was the Olalaye Adepoju led disciplinary committee and the Suleiman Ma'azu led referee committee. Committees are to be reconstituted on yet to be announced date.

In a communique read at the end of the meeting by Emeka Inyama, the board also set up ad hoc committee to organise a fund raising dinner for the sole purpose of the Super Eagles participation at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa. The fund raising dinner is to complement expected grant that federal government will give NFF for the prosecution of Super Eagles' Nations Cup campaign.

The board also approved that its 2012 AGA will hold in Port Harcourt between 13 and 14 December, 2012.
