Egypt: Nation, Sudan Ink MOU On Social Cooperation

Insurance and Social Affairs Minister Nagwa Khalil signed with her Sudanese counterpart Amira al-Fadel on Tuesday 27/11/2012 a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of social care and development.

The document comes to consolidate historical ties and it emanates from the desire of the two countries to boost bilateral cooperation in social work domains, Khalil said.

The MoU targets enhancing cooperation in such areas as poverty elimination, care for people with special needs, orphans, the elderly and homeless children as well as women development programs, empowerment of women in rural areas, combating violence against women and rehabilitation of repatriated refugees and maximizing the role of civil society and non-profit organizations in serving communities and micro-finance.
