Nigeria: NSCDC Appoints New Commandant for Lagos State

The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has appointed Mr Obafaiye Shem, as the new commandant.

A statement issued on Wednesday by Mary Bada, the Command's Public Relations Officer, said that the new commandant took over from Mr Dauda Mungadi.

"He is a great motivator and leads by good example. He is widely read and has a passion for quality service delivery," Bada said.

Until his appointment as the new Lagos NSCDC commandant, Obafaiye was Head of Department of Technical Services, Katsina State Command.

Bada said that the new commandant was an alumnus of University of Lagos, University of Ibadan and Lagos State University.
