Nigeria: Kebbi Releases N283 Million for Workers' Benefits

The Kebbi State government said it has released N283.6 million for the payment of workers annual leave grants, pension, gratuity and death benefits. Alhaji Arzika Dan-Atto, the state's Accountant-General, told newsmen in Birnin Kebbi yesterday that N143.3 million of the money is for the payment of leave grants. Dan-Atto said the balance of N140.3 million was for pension, gratuity and death benefits.

He said the leave grants would be paid along with the workers' salary for November, adding that "the administration will ensure sustenance of the payment of workers benefits".
