Gambia: Fixtures Released for 2012 Super Nawettan

The fixtures for the 2012 edition of The Gambia Football Association organised Super Nawettan championship has been released by the organising committee. The GFA recognised Nawettan zones are organising the competition this year.

The competition which will kick-off on Sunday 2nd December will see matches in Group A which is regarded as the Group of Death by many. The first four teams to be in action will be a meeting between the two Serekundas at the Serekunda East mini-stadium and the West Coast Region derby between Brikama and Sukuta at the former's Box Bar Mini-Stadium.

Matches will resume on Tuesday when Banjul face Lamin at the KG5 mini-stadium while the Barra, Essau and Mayamba team will entertain Manjai Kunda at the Serekunda West Mini-Stadium. Wednesday will see matches between Sukuta and Serekunda Central at West and the meeting between Bakau and Brufut at Manjai and Gunjur against Brikama will be at the Box Bar mini-stadium.

Serekunda East will entertain Banjul at Serekunda East, Serekunda West face Manjai at the West Park while BEM takes on defending champions Lamin at the Banjul Mini-Stadium with all three games taking place Thursday.

Serekunda Central face Bakau on Friday at West, Gunjur and Brufut will face off the same day at East. The first week will be completed with the meeting of Banjul and West at Banjul, Serekunda East and BEM at West and Manjail and Lamin at the Father Gough Sports Complex with all three games on Saturday.
