Gambia: Macassa Crowned Sesdo Knock-Out Champions

Macassa FC Sunday defeated S.V. Laar FC 1-0 in the Knockout finals of the Serekunda East Sports Development Organisation (SESDO) at the community's playing field. The final brought together many spectators and dignitaries amongst them the minister of Youth and Sports and the mayor of KMC.

S.V. Laar were the better side for much of the game, but they couldn't capitalise on their chances and Kebba Kujabie's 47th minute strike for Macassa proved to be the match winner.

As winners, Macassa went home with a giant trophy, which was presented to them by Honourable Alieu Kebba Jammeh, and a cash prize of D20,000, while S.V. Laar tookD15,000 as runners-up. The final of the League competition between Medina and Milan Roseneri will take place on Saturday.
