South Africa: President Zuma Appoints a Member of the SABC Board

President Jacob Zuma has, in terms of Section 13(1) of the Broadcasting Act 4 of 1999 and on the recommendation of the National Assembly, appointed Ms Noluthando Gosa as a Non-Executive Member of the South African Broadcasting Corporation Board for the term of office ending on 9 January 2015.

After a vacancy arose early in the year in the SABC Board, the Portfolio Committee on Communications, after conducting interviews, resolved to recommend Ms Gosa to be appointed to the Board.

"I wish Ms Gosa well in the execution of this important function in the country's public broadcaster," said President Zuma.
