Gambia: Ibou Rescues Club, Fire 13th Goal

Ibou Sawaneh leapt to his club rescue to even with a last-gasp penalty for a 1-1 stalemate.

Plet led fourth place Genk in the lead after 21 minutes into the first-half with either side setting up a 4-5-1 formation. Ibou starred unchanged deploying as a winger -his latest role since the start of the season. Trailed Bacca -his goal rival - by a single goal. Becca toppled the Gambian to the goal chart last weekend after the Colombian scored a brace in Club Brugge five goal hammering.

Pouga, Sawaneh's team-mate responded but his combination with Van bore no fruit. It was only in additional time in second-half that Sawaneh saved OH Leuven of what could have been their fifth defeat in seventeen league matches.

Ibou's mate in attack Pouga got bundled in the box and the referee did not hesitate to point to the spot-kick. Ibou stepped up to slot past the Genk keeper for his 13th goal of the season, joint top scorer in the Belgian league.
