Liberia: JFK Arrests 'Imposter Employee'

A man who has been conducting himself as employee of the John F. Medical Center is now in the hands of the Liberia National Police undergoing investigation having been arrested recently.

Abraham Kahn, a Liberian, 27, according to hospital officials has been posting himself as an employee of the hospital, whereas he is not, taking money from patients under the pretends of helping them with their processes at the hospital.

Kahn, a release from the hospital, came at the Medical Center and got in contact with his preys, Nohn and Morris Yeayen who were finding their way to register their brother for surgery.

Kahn then informed them that he could help them with the process because he was an employee of the hospital.

"I can make my way around and even find you bed," he prevailed on the concerned individuals who did not hesitate and don't care to question him further.

Apparently convinced of his "tricks", Nohn and Morris Yeay entrusted Kahn with a total of L$2400 Liberia dollars to run after what they were there for.

But after receiving the money, Kahn escaped the scene and could not be traced by the two men.

Apparently not satisfied with his first hit or being overwhelmed with the outcome of the "bad" trade, Kahn came back at the hospital on Tuesday, November 20, the follow day.

But as it is said "ninety-nine days for the rouge and one day for the master," God moved and exposed Khan later as he was arrested later.

In the same token, he is now being investigated by JFK security for illegally issuing medical and death certificates when Nohn and Morris Yeayen alerted the security

Following the arrest, he confessed to the crime and was turn over to the Liberian National Police for prosecution and promised to pay back the money.

The JFK management has however warned the public to be cautious of people wanting to help them at the hospital.

The management through its Communications Specialist, Daylue Goad said, it takes such issue very serious and called on the public to cooperate.

JFK said it is always willing to listen to every Liberian and called on visitors and patients to always approach management if they feel mistreated or directly approached by someone who they are not satisfy with.

"We received over 1000 persons here a day and some come here with different motive. We want the public to be very careful with such people. Our employees are always wearing their ID card and they are also easily recognizable by our security and communication department. If someone approached you requesting money from you to give a help in your admission process, please report the case to management" The release concluded.
