Western Sahara: Yemenite National Centre to Back Saharawi People's Struggle

Algiers — President of Yemen's Marib Human Rights Centre Nayef Mbarek Essifi said Tuesday in Algiers that a Yemenite national centre will be created to "support Saharawi people's struggle for their legitimate right to self-determination."

In a meeting with Noureddine Benbraham, the commander general of the Algerian Muslim Scouts, Nayef, who led the delegation of the Yemeni Association for Brotherhood and Solidarity with the Saharawi People, said the center "will support and facilitate collection of donations for Saharawi people who have suffered for years from the horrors of Moroccan occupation."

The center will remain in touch with civil society associations in Algeria, including the Algerian National Committee for Solidarity with the Saharawi People (CNASPS) and the Algerian Muslim Scouts to "benefit from their experience in providing support to the fair Saharawi cause," he said.

"We believe in the Saharawi cause and we will back Sahrawi people through this center."
