Gambia: Health Minister Badjie Removed

Fatim Badjie has been relieved of her Cabinet appointment as minister of Health and Social Welfare, a media release from the State House announced yesterday.

The release reads: The general public is hereby informed that His Excellency the president of the Republic of The Gambia Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, acting under the provisions of Section 71(4) (b) of the Constitution of the Republic of The Gambia, has decided to relieve Ms Fatim Badjie of her appointment as minister of Health and Social Welfare with immediate effect.
