Kenya/South Sudan: Stars Get Cash Boost After Beating Southern Sudan

Sports Minister Ababu Namwamba presented Harambee Stars with Sh300,000 after their 2-0 victory against Southern Sudan.

The minister who was accompanied by FKF President Sam Nyamweya and members of the NEC were in the teams dressing room to celebrate with them their victory.

Namwamba promised the players that the rewards will be more handsome as the team progresses. "We are happy with your performance but don't rest on your laurels.

Continue to work had and reach the finals and better things will come your way," he said. Nyamweya on his part lauded the team for their resilience against what proved to be determined opponents, and assured them of the federation's support during their stay in Uganda.

"As a federation, we are going to ensure you only focus on football while we take care of other things. We will give you all the necessary support to do well," said Nyamweya.
