Angola: Government Allocates Land for Self Construction

Kuito — The government of the central Bié province Wednesday distributed 30 land plots for self-construction in São José neighbourhood, outskirts of the provincial capital, Kuito.

The information was released Thursday by the director of Youth and Sports, Anastácio Severino Sambowé, who underlined that the initiative served to tackle the housing plight still affecting many youths.

According to Anastácio Severino Sambowé, the distribution process was fair and is intended to allow the needy young people to get land plots for self-construction.

He pledged that the programme, which is being carried out through the Provincial Department of Youth and Sports, will continue and cover other residents in districts of Bié province.
