Egypt: Cabinet Meets to Discuss Five Important Files

Meeting under Prime Minister Hisham Qandil, the Cabinet discussed on Wednesday 28/11/2012 five important files.

The Cabinet agreed to refer a draft resolution to amend the sales tax law passed in 1991 to President Mohamed Morsi.

Another draft resolution suggesting that the third and fourth phases of the third subway line be considered a public benefit project will also be on Morsi's desk.

The government also probed problems facing the Holding Company for Land Reclamation and agreed to secure the money needed for the firm to be officially launched.

It was also agreed that a ministerial group be formed to resettle Nubia residents.

The Cabinet also reviewed a report by the Domestic Trade Minister on Egypt's stock of basic commodities and deals to import extra needs.
