Angola: Heavy Rains Hit Over 3,370 Families in Kuando-Kubango Province

Menongue — At least 3,372 people have been affected by the rains throughout this year, in the Southern East Kuando-Kubango province, says a report from the provincial executive commission of the civil protection and fire, Angop has learnt.

The rains also destroyed 89 residences, five churches, as well as other 22 infrastructures partially.

The document says that the affected people were assisted with foodstuff, used clothes, zinc sheets and survival kits, in the Municipalities of Kuchi and Kuito Kuanavale, considered as the most affected.
