Angola: Energy Sector Might Use Natural Sources in Rural Areas

Luanda — Angola's minister of Energy and Waters, João Baptista Borges, on Thursday here said the country has a great potential in natural resources that the power sector can use to produce energy, mainly in rural areas, Angop has learnt.

The official said so when speaking at the opening ceremony of a conference on the renewal energies, promoted by the ministry of Waters and Energy, adding that the country is reach in natural resources, such as sun, biomass, and winds, clean energy sources, that can be used to produce electrical energy, mainly in rural areas.

"The country is committed to promoting the use of renewal energies, for being considered as ones of the future", says the Minister.
