Nigeria: 'Primary Schools Don't Have Toilets'

Kaduna — Most public primary schools in the country don't have toilets, chairman of the Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board ( SUBEB) Mr Ishaya Dare AKawu, has said.

Speaking at an event in Kaduna, he said most of the schools also lack water.

"To solve the problem in Kaduna State, the government built more than 300 modern toilets in public schools. Most Nigerian schools do not have toilets and many do not have potable water. I have visited many," he said.

According to the SUBEB chairman, government will continue to do its best to address the challenge.
