Lokoja — The National Mathematical Centre (NMC) has charged students in the country to take the learning of mathematics seriously so as to achieve their desired academic goals.

Acting Director General of the centre, Prof. Adewale Solarin, gave the charge yesterday in Lokoja during the flag off of the Nigerian Mathematical Year in Kogi State. Solarin, who was represented by Prof. Jonathan Ogidi, said the Mathematical Year is marked to encourage, create awareness and draw the attention of students to the importance of mathematics.
