An elated Egbe told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) moments after the momentous victory, that he came out tops because of; God's special grace and hard work.

Egbe had won a silver medal at the 2011 17th NSF in Port Harcourt.

The gold medalist also said that his victory did not come on a platter of gold because his opponents had also put in their best.

"I know we worked hard but others also did, we played fairly which is what Team Lagos preaches.

" Am very happy it was by Gods grace and I am thankful to God for giving me the grace,

" Lagos stage wants us to play fairly which is what we have all imbibed so everyone can attests to the fact that it was a well deserved victory,"he said. (NAN)
