Top flight clubs continued their postmortem after the end of this years Kenya Premier League with KCB parting ways with coach James Odijo Omondi after 18 months in charge. Omondi was hired following the departure of Leonard Sleh in July last year.
"KCB Football Club is seeking possible replacements for the position of head coach following the exit of incumbent James Omondi. The football club has also let go of assistant coach Peter Ambetsa with immediate effect," said a statement from the club.
The team has initiated a thorough recruitment process as it seeks to rebuild the team ahead of the next season. The bankers finished in the 10th position; 21 points behind champions Tusker FC
The football club was founded in 1993 and three years later won the Nairobi Provincial League, earning promotion to the Nationwide League. Two years later it won promotion to the Premier League in 1999.
