Gambia: Fatim Badgie Relieved of Ministerial Duties

The President of The Gambia in a Press Release last night November 28th, relieved Ms. Fatim Badjie from the post of Minister of Health and Social Welfare with immediate effect.

According to the release read over the state controlled GRTS 10pm news, Ms. Fatim Badjie is relieved of duties as minister with immediate effect. The release however did not mention any reason for the removal of Badgie and has not mention any replacement for the vacant post.

Ms. Badjie was appointed to the ministry of Health and Social Welfare on the 2nd of February 2012.
