Zimbabwe: Calls to Improve Agriculture Sector Conditions

Government has been urged to improve conditions of service in the agricultural sector to retain enough professionals and boost the agricultural sector. Speaking at a graduation ceremony at Gwebi College of Agriculture recently, University of Zimbabwe vice chancellor Professor Levi Nyagura said UZ and Gwebi were collaborating to ensure that students attained high qualifications.

"I wish to implore the Ministry of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development to critically examine the conditions of service for college lecturers with the aim of improving the remuneration packages," said Prof Nyagura.
