Controversy surrounding the Manjai nawettan league final has been put to rest after an independent committee's ruling yesterday.
The committee bossed by Mustapha Kebbeh rejected Darusalam's complaint accusing Johaness of fielding an ineligible player. Darusalam bit the dust to Johaness during a semi-final clash at the Manjai league Cup.
Refusing to concede defeat, Darusalam tendered a written complaint to the Manjai overseeing Nawettan committee on the aforementioned allegations.
A KMC sports investigating panel was swiftly setup to look into the issue and after a week of sitting, the probing team dismissed Daru's claim giving Johaness the all clear to participate in the final.
"I can confirm that Johaness are to go for the finals on Saturday" Lamin Keita, Manjai Youth and Sports Development programme officer confirmed to Foroyaa Sports.
With the decision going against Daru, Johaness will now faceoff Fajara South on Saturday in the league finals.
The final -which could have hold, last week - was initially halted on directives from the top.
Alasan Mballow, Johaness coach is thrilled of the new twist in the case.
