Egypt: Islamic Jama'a Calls for Changing Venue of Saturday Protest From Tahrir

Egypt's Islamic Jama'a called on Thursday for reconsidering the venue of Saturday's million-man demonstration which the Muslim Brotherhood had called for.

Inside sources at the brotherhood said earlier today it is likely the demonstration's venue will be changed.

The goal of "the million-man demonstration to support legitimacy and Shari'a" is to back the constitutional decree and President Mohamed Mursi's decisions.

The Jama'a and its institutions are exerting all efforts to defuse the crisis and attain stability, Gamal Heshmat, a leading figure in the brotherhood and ex-MP, has told the Middle East News Agency (MENA).

Islamic forces and currents have decided to change the location of the Saturday demonstration from Tahrir Square to another unspecified venue, the official Facebook page of the brotherhood's "Misr 25" channel reported earlier.
