Tunisia: Siliana Protests Continue

Tunisians on Thursday (November 29th) demonstrated for a third straight day in Siliana, AFP reported.

Protestors have demanded the resignation of Siliana Governor Ahmed Zine Mahjoubi, an increase in economic development in the region and the release of 14 people detained in unrest last year.

Medics at the hospital in Siliana said Wednesday that 265 people had been treated for bruises, fractures and cuts. Nineteen people were partially or totally blinded, the hospital said.
