Bardo — The latest developments in Siliana and ways to reach urgent solutions to ease the tension prevailing in the Governorate for some days were discussed at a meeting held Thursday between National Constituent Assembly (NCA) Speaker Mustapha Ben Jaafar and Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) Houcine Abassi.

The two sides agreed to set up channels for dialogue to reach pertinent solutions and restore normalcy, reads a NCA statement.

They also recommended to create a committee bringing together Government representatives and UGTT Executive Committee members to examine the urgent needs of the region, the population's concerns and their demands for a new development model, said the same source.
