Gambia: Afriq Cars Shines At Queen of Companies 2012 Third Edition

Afriq Cars, a car rental company recently shined at the Queen of Companies 2012 3rd edition pageantry competition where it participated for the first time. In that highly attended gathering, its queen, Miss Fatoumatta Darboe, 19, and resident of Fajara managed to make it to the top three, thus putting Afriq Cars Rental on a great spotlight.

Miss Darboe was taken on board at the Afriq Cars Company as an intern by its Operational director, Mrs. Lillian Azizi, in preparation of this event. Thanks to the great team work of the entire staff of Afriq Cars Rental, Miss Darboe was given much confidence, support and encouragement, which enabled her to deliver her task.

"We are proud of you Fatoumatta Darboe," the Operational director, Mrs. Lillian Aziz, enthused. "She has made us proud and we will live to remember this day that we showed The Gambia what we are capable of. Miss Darboe will continue to work for Afriq Cars to create a brand for this local business. Also, she is now the face and the ambassador of Afriq Cars Rental 2012/2013. She will appear on any public appearance that we will be organizing during the year of 2013," Mrs. Aziz added.

"By the grace of God and the support of The Gambia government, Miss Fatoumatta Darboe might be going to Nigeria for the Miss ECOWAS Peace Pageant to represent The Gambia by telling the world how peaceful our lovely Gambia is," she added.

The pageant, which is to be held on the15th of December 2012 in Nigeria will be a great opportunity for Miss Darboe to gain experience at the international level by exposing the positive things about The Gambia, known to many as the Smiling Coast of Africa. Darboe believes that if she is given enough supportfrom the government the same way she received from the Afriq Cars Rental and its team in Queen ofCompanies 2012, this couldhelp her go with confidence andmake The Gambia proud .
