Egypt: Pope Tawadros Receives Presidential Staff Head

Head of the Coptic Orthodox Church Pope Tawadros II Thursday 29/11/2012 received Ambassador Refaa el-Tahtawi, the chief of the presidential staff.

In statements following the meeting, Tahtawi said the presidency holds great respect and appreciation for the church in spite of the church's withdrawal from the Constituent Assembly tasked with writing Egypt's new constitution.

The meeting also tackled issues pertaining to Egypt's security and stability, he added.
