Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta's TNA is seeking to invade Justice minister Eugene Wamalwa's Bungoma turf, a few days after he walked out of the G7 alliance.
Speaking to the star yesterday, TNA county chairman Cyprian Mulisa said they have started a recruitment drive in Bungoma and Trans Nzoia counties with the intention of taming Wamalwa's rebellion.
"Many of Wamalwa'a supporters back the G7 alliance. We are going to convince them to accept TNA as their party of choice after his exist," he said.
Mulisa said they plan to open party offices in the nine constituencies in Bungoma.
He said Uhuru will tour Bungoma in a few weeks to popularise TNA.
Mulisa faulted Wamalwa's decision to move out of the G7 alliance saying it made him what he is.
"Even the ministerial position he is holding was brokered by Uhuru," he said.
Mulisa added that Uhuru enjoys support from the youth in Bungoma.
He urged Wamalwa to rethink his decision and work with the G7 alliance.
Mulisa added that Wamalwa should face the fact that currently he has no capacity to run for the presidency and accept the post he will be given by the G7 alliance.
Wamalwa early this week exited the G7 alliance saying he will join the Western alliance in a bid to find one Luhya presidential candidate for the March 4 general election.
